Instructor-Led Classes
The following classes are taught in person by a certified instructor (estimate of length of class next to price). Unless noted, all courses provide a 2-year certification through the American Heart Association. Fees include books, class materials, and card processing. Basic Life Support (BLS) for First Time Learners
New to healthcare? This is the class you need to get hired and start on your new career. You will learn how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills required for in-hospital and pre-hospital settings. You will learn how to function by yourself, with a partner, or as part of a team with a focus on delivering high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Recertification
Do you work in healthcare and it's time to renew your BLS certification? This is the class for you as it will allow you to review and practice your skills in CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills needed in in-hospital and pre-hospital settings. Refresh your knowledge of team dynamics and high-quality CPR.
Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED
Do you work with children or serve as a foster parent? This course meets Illinois DCFS and 4C’s requirements for childcare providers by covering Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED use, and basic First Aid. Hone up on your knowledge and skills with hands-on learning.
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
Are you needing certification for your job or want to beef up your resume with new skills? This course teaches you how to provide high-quality CPR on an adult, use an AED, and learn basic first-aid skills. This course is OSHA-compliant for first-responder training in the workplace and also builds skills teamwork and the use of effective communication in an emergency.
Heartsaver® CPR AED
Are you needing certification for your job or want to beef up your resume with new skills? This course teaches you how to provide high-quality CPR, use an AED, and address when someone is choking as well as build teamwork and effective communication skills in an emergency.
Heartsaver® First Aid
Building a first aid kit and not sure where to start? Do you know what to do for at-home or on-the-job first aid emergencies? This course goes over a wide variety of common everyday emergencies and how to best respond as well as recommendations for building a first aid kit to meet your needs.
Bloodborn Pathogen Training and Response
This course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Training is available for all shifts and limited to companies and businesses only; can be incorporated into a CPR/AED/First Aid training at a reduced rate – please contact support@saukvalleycpr.com for a free consultation and price quote.
Family and Friends CPR
Whether you're a new parent, grandparent, or would like to expand your learning, this course teaches the basics of performing Hands Only CPR (or bystander CPR), using an AED, and responding to choking in adults, children, and infants. This is not a certification course, so no testing involved.
Safe Sitter® Essentials with CPR

Blended Learning Classes
Blended Learning consists of two parts: (1) self-paced computer-based instruction and (2) meeting with a certified instructor to check off your skills. It's the perfect solution for anyone who doesn't have the bandwidth of time for a traditional class. It's simple - when you complete the class, we'll help you finalize your certification with a 1:1 skills checkoff.
